Kirk Rimer is head (together with Michael Silverman) of the Investment Group and a Managing Director of Crow Holdings Capital (CHC). In these leadership roles, he supervises the asset allocation process of the CHCs non-real estate assets. In addition, Rimer leads the selection process of investment managers in both traditional and non-traditional asset classes. He is also responsible for the Partner Advisory and Investment teams. Outside of CHC, he is an Executive in Residence in Finance at the Cox School of Business.
Rimer brings to his key roles at CHC both practical experience in the industry and a strong academic-related background. For example, before joining CHC in 2011, he spent 21 years in an executive capacity at Goldman Sachs, both as Managing Director and the Southwest Regional Manager for the Private Wealth Management Division there. During this time, Rimer played a principal role in risk management and equity investments and prior to Goldman, he was a naval aviator in the US navy for almost 10 years.
Academically, Rimer has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Missouri, Columbia and an MBA in Finance from the Southern Methodist University. Regarding his charitable endeavors, he is a member of the UPLIFT Foundation Board, the Advisory Board of SMU Cox School of Business and a Trustee of Austin College.
